Fifty: OH SHI-

FIFTY: OH SHI-

I actually do feel nauseous. Even a day later.

Lens hood for Canon 85mm F/1.8 lens and two 8GB CF cards

Getting ready to switch camps. Now if only the camera was as easy to find... B & H said they had the camera kit yesterday, I was out yesterday but didn't bother to go check. Adorama has the bodies in stock today but no kit. Ugh!

No I don't want to say which camera it is yet because what I'm going to end up spending by switching from Nikon to Canon will cost me a small fortune - literally. At least there is a $50 rebate from Sandisk for those 2 CF cards I just bought. It's like buy 1 get 1 free!

Will kill for this camera

Canon unveiled the successor their 3-year old 5D last week- The 5D Mark II. Early indication from highly regarded photograph Vincent Laforet and wedding photography studio BEBB Studios have both said this camera will "change everything" and I am falling for the hype.

I know there is maybe 1 other person who reads my blog who will even be interested in this stuff, but I have to say - I might seriously consider saving up for this $2700 camera for my visit to China spring next year.

This thing can shoot 1080p video footage, which isn't a big deal to me but my gawd, the footage speaks for itself. The BEBB Studios blog also have still examples shot at a an insane ISO of 25600 (Supersonic) and the photo looks 10 times better than anything I can shoot at 1600 ISO on my Nikon (which I can't even shoot as because the quality is so bad).

But this would be a massive investment, as I would have to switch to the Canon system. It will force me to be more serious about my photography though, and actually try to make a living off of it, which is my goal... anyone need me to shoot a wedding?

This is a very exciting time in digital photography. I can't wait for it's released in November and see what people do with it.

Buy This

Since I've moved over to the Nikon camp (which I might regret down the line, but what the hey) and bought myself two Nikon film bodies, I have no need for my Canon Rebel 2000 anymore. So I'm selling it.

What is included:
Canon Rebel 2000 SLR camera body
EF 28-80mm 3.5-5.6 II lens
Hoya UV filter
Canon Semi-soft leather case
Original Canon camera strap
Original packaging materials and instruction manual

All for $100.

Camera and lens is in great condition. No smudges or scratches on either. Lens is clear with no fungus or mold. Contacts clean.

There is a roll of Tri-X or T-Max 400 film in there (36 exp) that is newly loaded and unused. The first 5 frames are exposed though. I forgot I had film in there and accidentally opened it once.

All interested parties should respond to this post or e-mail me.
(I don't even know why I'm posting this HERE of all places since like 3 people read this blog)
